You must do the asana with your soul.
How can you do an asana with your soul?
We can only do it with the organ of the body that is closest to the soul – the heart.
So a virtuous asana is done from the heart and not from the head.
Then you are not just doing it, but you are in it.
Many people try to think their way into an asana, but you must instead feel your way into it through love and devotion

A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side. The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman.
Then, without a word, the older monk picked up the woman, carried her across the river, placed her gently on the other side, and carried on his journey.
The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless, and an hour passed without a word between them.
Two more hours passed, then three, finally the younger monk could contain himself no longer, and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?”
The older monk looked at him and replied, “Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river, why are you still carrying her?”
We can chose to ruminate over past actions or events, or we can choose to let go of what doesn’t serve us anymore and concentrate on the present moment.

What’s the best way to create a meaningful piece where the wearer can express herself, her moods, her soul?
I am and I’ve always been a supporter of creativity, individuality & self expression and I wanted to create something that could be customisable and yet could keep the unique tinyOm DNA.
That’s why I designed the Chain-link Necklace, a dainty and elegant paperclip chain in 18k rose gold. You can wear it alone or add the charms you like as a way of keeping your favorite amulets close to your heart; creating your own unique and meaningful necklace.
Some of the charms can also be engraved with a special initial or date.
Love,
Virginie

«Perfection in an asana is achieved when the effort to perform it becomes effortless and the infinite being within is reached.» B.K.S. Iyengar
In sports or life performances in general, there is great emphasis on effort. We never talk about effortlessness. That is the beauty of yoga where we have to balance effort and letting go. In yoga, perfection is about “doing” and at the same time “not doing”. With practice, we learn to balance the effort with relaxation. When we reach the correct alignment, there is no extraneous effort.
In my own practice, I’ve had glimpses of effortless effort. Other times, my mind is still screaming to get out of the pose. But by coming back to a daily asana practice and observing effortless effort, I believe we can gradually learn to live a more easeful life and experiment this special feeling of effortless effort!
